Summer – A Time for Reflection

A friendly reminder from your TenBridge Partners Team…

July is upon us, and we are halfway through 2023! Although it is hard to believe half the year has passed, we hope you are enjoying your summer festivities and using this time to your advantage.

Summertime is for friends, family, soaking up the sunshine, and relaxation. Oftentimes we get caught up with jam packed schedules, failing to slow down and enjoy the fruits the summer season provides, both literally and figuratively.

We encourage you to take a breath and consider what is truly important to you this summer. Reflect back to January, when frost covered the ground, and we were itching for the sun. Consider if there is anything you would have liked to do by this time of year. It doesn’t have to be a resolution; it can be a simple task which has taken the back burner the last several months. Although summer is a time for relaxation, it is also a time for reflection: to plan and prioritize your valuable time for the remainder of the year.

Calling back to Erik Lawrence’s newsletter from February, “Woulda Coulda Shoulda”: “Sometimes we delay some of the woulda because we think we are too busy and lack the time.  Sometimes we delay the shoulda out of fear.  And sometimes we delay the things we coulda done because we think we lack the money to do them.”

Make use of this summer – whether that means picking up a new skill or resting your body and mind. Use your time to the fullest.

Lastly, let us know if we can help check off any outstanding goals you have for the year.

We send you off with Mary Oliver’s wise words from her poem, “The Summer Day”: “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” We wish you a happy summer.
